Wyoming Dinosaur Discovery
Bone Cabin Quarry has been a world renowned dinosaur fossil site since it was first discovered in 1897 by the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) — nearly 500 individual bones were pulled from the ground by the time they abandoned it in 1903.
Wyoming Dinosaur Discovery (WDD) Founders Thomas Lindgren and Jeffrie Parker, reopened Bone Cabin Quarry in 2020, turning it into a world class operation with both state-of-the-art technology and good old fashioned “know-how” that comes from years work in the field.
With a “Land-to-Lab” approach, WDD maintains strict standards which govern everything from
the safe fossil removal from the ground, transport to the Lab, cleaning and finishing each specimen—finally to armature work.
Every step ensures that the structural integrity and provenance protection of any specimen
excavated from Bone Cabin Quarry remains intact.
A few examples of the many specimens found at Bone Cabin Quarry include Stegosaurus,
Apatosaurus, Barosuarus, and Goniopholis.
